  • Overview

    GrowthMindset is seeking a  Senior Software Development Manager for a direct hire position located in Kent, WA.  The ideal candidate should have a passion for coding, leadership, and development of an existing team in an Agile environment and should be a great team player who drives results using technology as a weapon to achieve competitive advantage for the company.


    • Partner with Business Analysts to define clear requirements, development objectives, and timelines
    • Lead Joint Application Design sessions with development team and key business associates
    • Work with third party companies to define and build integrations with required applications and services.
    • Analyze development workflow, establishing standards and practices for consistent quality
    • Prioritize and organize development items into deliverable value for the company on a regular release cadence
    • Provide technical leadership regarding tools, techniques and methodologies, introducing new tools or elements as appropriate.
    • Develop and administer performance requirements, schedules, workloads, budgets and resource planning.
    • Evaluate progress toward deliverable timelines and communicate expectations clearly
    • Identify and manage scope creep and other threats to project success
    • Proactively cross-train and grow the skill set of the entire team.
    • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Support teams as needed.
    • Provide guidance for support and troubleshooting of prior developed technology solutions.
    • Ensures work is completed in such a way to comply with internal controls.


    • A minimum of five years of experience developing web applications on the Microsoft platform
    • A minimum of five years of experience leading application development teams in an agile environment
    • Strong understanding of front-end technologies including Bootstrap, SASS/CSS, HTML5, KnockoutJS or Angular, and TypeScript
    • Foundational knowledge of source code control systems including branching and merging strategies and conflict resolution.
    • Experience setting up automated release management tools.
    • Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Able to travel part-time (about 33%) 

    Bonus Experience

    • Application Architecture and UI/UX Design
    • Solid understanding of SQL Server / T-SQL
    • Certified in Scrum or Kanban
    • REST API design experience
    • Experience managing remote workers and collaboration tools
