  • Overview

    GrowthMindset is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop Graphical User Interface software for ultrasound products. This development position requires competence in all aspects of the product level software development life cycle including requirements, analysis, design, implementation, and testing.  Qualified candidates will have previous experience with Microsoft Windows software development and must possess a thorough understanding of C++, C#, WPF, XAML and DirectX. Candidates must also have previous experience developing desktop/universal software running on Windows 10. 


    • Able to plan work and manage status and updates within Jira in an Agile development environment.
    • Develop/Enhance User Interface software for highly sophisticated medical ultrasound equipment.
    • Collaborate with human factors engineers to translate Graphical User Interface concepts into elegant, efficient, and object-oriented software architectures.
    • Author software requirements, design and test specifications.
    • Design and document innovative software modules that meet specified requirements and support efficient and comprehensive unit testing.
    • Conduct reviews of specifications and designs.  Incorporate feedback as needed to improve performance, reliability, robustness, etc.
    • Support integration of software modules with Hardware and System teams.
    • Participate in reviews of team member’s designs and provide feedback that helps improve overall system quality and performance.
    • Perform Software Risk Analysis activities to ensure that software design mitigates potential safety issues.


    • Accredited Engineering Degree – Computer Science or related degree (Masters degree preferred)
    • 7+ years of experience in production level software development
    • 7+ years of programming experience with C++ and C#
    • 5+ years of recent experience with XAML-based technologies (e.g. WPF, UWP, Xamarin)
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft WPF development
    • Demonstrated professional skills with DirectX
    • Demonstrated expertise with object-oriented design patterns and MVVM/MVC/MVP architectures
    • Demonstrated experience with software test methodologies
    • Demonstrated experience with software source control tools (e.g. Git)
    • Significant experience with documentation tools (e.g. MS Office and Visio)
    • Some experience with ISO, FDA, or other regulated product development environments preferred.
