Java Developer

GrowthMindset is seeking a Java Developer for a direct hire position located in SeaTac, WA with one of our leading clients.

We need an experienced Software Developer skilled in Java, Angular and Microservices who will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing, coding, testing and supporting application software.  Requires strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to socialize and introduce new ideas and technologies to customers and coworkers.

• Works closely with customers, business analysts and senior-level developers to understand business requirements that drive the analysis, design and development of quality/cost effective technical solutions.  These solutions must be aligned with business and I.T. strategies and comply with the company's architectural standards and delivered on time and within budget. 
• Ensures delivery of high-quality software by writing clean code and utilizing unit test, continuous integration, and code reviews. 
• Analyzes project requirements, the existing environment, available technology, and develops recommendations for appropriate technology solutions. 
• Provides training and post installation support for customers, coworkers and other IT support personnel.
• Responsibilities may include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. 
• Manages multiple tasks and projects concurrently, setting priorities and following through to successful completion.
• Reliability and timeliness are essential functions of this position.

• Bachelor's degree, with technical emphasis, from four-year college or university and four years programming experience; or equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills to facilitate work with technical personnel and business managers/administrators.  Required skills include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and effectively present information.
• Four years’ experience developing applications in a business environment using Java, J2EE, and Angular is required. 
• Experience with JBoss, Ionic, JavaServerFaces, and Spring or knowledge of processes and concepts like Git, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Integration is a plus.  
• Desktop development experience with Swing and JavaFX is helpful.
• Project management, Scrum or Agile Development experience is preferred.
